Dee Lenston

Tech and Training Manager

I have been in the hardwood flooring industry for almost 30 years (22 of those with Bona). A majority of my career has been focused on providing Bona training at our Sand & Finish Schools throughout the country. For several years prior, I owned and operated my own hardwood flooring company. I’m very passionate about training and my current role with my Bona colleagues and I look forward to bringing Bona training closer to you at one of our Regional Training Centers.

Rob Johnson

Tech and Training Field Manager

I am a 4th generation Wood Floor Technician and have been working in the wood floor industry for 48 years. Some of my background includes: extensively working on Industrial, Commercial, Sport, Bowling Lanes and Residential wood floor projects, installations & sanding and refinishing through the years.

I joined Bona 15 years ago, working as East Coast TM in the Bona Sport Dept and the last 8 years working in the Bona Tech & Training Dept as Lead Trainer / Field Mgr. leading a variety of training schools including sport and residential and commercial utilization of Bona products, procedures and best practices. I feel I have one of the greatest jobs in our industry as a trainer for Bona as it allows me to do what I love doing everyday and meeting other wood floor pros throughout the country who share the same passion, pain, and love for the industry as I do. A brotherhood if you will. I've also been producing Bona's 'On the Floor with Wayne and Rob' podcast for that last five years.

On a personal note, I've been married to the most wonderful woman in the world, Pauline for over 40 years. We have 3 children who are all married with a total of 6 grandkids. We all reside in upstate NY. My son is also in the wood floor business with a small sand and install business of his own. So hoping one day that Johnson family will continue the tradition of wood flooring projects into our 6th generation and beyond!

Mike Dittmer

Tech and Training Field Manager

I started by working on jobs with my father in the summer of 1976 installing parquet floors in Chicago when I was 12. I continued working with my father throughout high school and college. Having almost flunked out of college because of a substandard spelling ability, I purchased my first apple computer for my dorm. Although I had to work weekends to pay the loan, this purchase changed the rest of my college career, and I graduated with honors. Over the years I continued to build my skills and my company through training and technology.

I learned parquet building through the mentorship of a manufacturer from the 70’s. When the hand scraping era began, I learned historical and rustic techniques to satisfy consumer needs. A highlight of my career was developing techniques to bend material. Although running a successful business for 26 years was a challenge, it was also rewarding. Being a father of twin biologists is one of my greatest accomplishment to date.

Danny Miller

Tech and Training Specialist

As a member of Bona's Tech and Training team since 2020, I enjoy learning and passing on the best practices to the participants of my schools. If I could pass along one thing I wish I had learned sooner, it's that you need to take your time to get the job done right regardless of the outside pressure to get the job done quicker. I look forward to the future opportunities to connect and pass on my knowledge to you in one of our upcoming Sand and Finish schools.

Nathan Ventura

Tech and Training Specialist

I’ve had the privilege of working in the wood flooring and construction industries since 2015. Throughout the years, I've used Bona products as a coater and contractor. I enjoy utilizing my experience and skills to help consumers and contractors get the best possible results. Over the years I've learned several techniques and tricks that get the job right the first time. As a tech and training specialist, I enjoy teaching others that are eager to learn and I’m excited for the opportunity to share my experiences and get to know each and every contractor that goes to our schools.
